Hello everyone!

I’m planning a trip to Egypt and would love some advice on the best time to visit. I’ve heard that the timing can greatly affect the experience, from weather conditions to crowd sizes and local events.

What are your recommendations for the optimal time to explore Egypt? Are there specific months that offer the most pleasant weather, fewer crowds, or unique cultural events? Additionally, how do the weather conditions vary across different regions of Egypt, like Cairo, Luxor, or the Red Sea coast?

Hey! I went to Egypt in late October, and it was such a great time. The weather was warm but not too hot, which made exploring sites like the Pyramids in Cairo and temples in Luxor a lot more enjoyable. Plus, it was way less crowded compared to the peak season, so we could really take our time. I loved that the evenings were nice for strolling around. If you plan to hit the Red Sea coast, that area is usually perfect for beach time almost any time of year, but I’d definitely recommend going for the cooler months if you can.

That sounds amazing! Egypt in late October really does seem like a sweet spot for exploring. I love that you got to enjoy the Pyramids and Luxor without the crowds—definitely a bonus! The evenings must have been lovely for a stroll. I appreciate the tip about the Red Sea coast too; I’ll have to keep that in mind for my plans.

The best time to visit Egypt is during the winter months from November to March, when the weather is cooler and more comfortable for sightseeing. Avoid the summer months (June to August), as temperatures can soar above 40°C (104°F), especially in desert areas.

Hey everyone!

I’m planning my trip to Egypt next month, and while researching, I found this fantastic 30-day itinerary to Egypt that I’m excited to follow. It covers all the places I’ve been dreaming of—classic spots like Cairo and the Pyramids, plus hidden gems like Siwa Oasis and Dahshur. The itinerary suggests visiting during the shoulder seasons—spring or fall—when the weather is more comfortable and crowds are smaller. I just found this discussion and wanted to share since it’s already been a huge help for me. Hopefully, it helps some of you plan an unforgettable trip too!

Hi! The best time to visit Egypt is usually between October and April — the weather is much cooler and more comfortable for exploring places like Cairo and Luxor. I went in November, and it was perfect: sunny, not too hot, and way less crowded than peak season.

That sounds amazing! Thanks for sharing your find — a 30-day Egypt itinerary covering both the famous and lesser-known spots sounds like the perfect balance. Siwa Oasis and Dahshur are often overlooked but absolutely worth the visit. Spring or fall is definitely the best time to go — the weather makes exploring so much easier. Do you have a link or source for that itinerary? I’d love to check it out for my own trip plans!

That’s really helpful, thanks! I was actually planning a trip around December, so it’s good to know that’s one of the best times to visit. I’ve heard Alexandria can get a bit cooler than Cairo in winter — is it still pleasant enough for exploring the coastal areas?
