I’ve been wanting to visit Mumbai during Ganesh Chaturthi for a while, so this year I finally started planning the trip. The first thing I checked was the flight price, and honestly, I wasn’t prepared for how expensive it was around the festival dates.

I spent a few days comparing different dates and eventually found a much better option by moving my trip by a day. I also checked early-morning and late-night flights, which helped bring the price down.

If you're planning the same trip, it's probably worth checking Ganesh Chaturthi flight deals early rather than waiting until the last minute. Prices seem to change quite a bit depending on the day you travel.

I also compared one-way tickets instead of automatically booking a return, and checked the total price after adding baggage. Sometimes a flight that looks cheap at first isn't actually the cheapest option.

My biggest tip would be to keep your dates flexible if you can. Even moving your departure or return by a day or two can make a difference.

Now that I've finally got my flight sorted, I'm looking forward to exploring Mumbai, visiting the famous Ganpati pandals, and just experiencing the atmosphere during the festival.

Has anyone else booked their flights for Ganesh Chaturthi 2026? I'd love to know if you found any good fares or have any tips for getting to Mumbai without spending a fortune.

Hi everyone,

I’m starting to plan a trip and trying to keep the flight cost as low as possible. For those of you who regularly find good deals, what’s your usual approach? Do you book far in advance or use specific tools to track price drops?

Yes, October is generally a great month to travel around India. The monsoon season is usually coming to an end, and many destinations start experiencing pleasant weather, making it suitable for sightseeing, road trips and outdoor activities.

Popular places to explore in October include Rajasthan, Agra, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Goa and Madhya Pradesh. If you are travelling with family or a group from Delhi, booking a Tempo Traveller in Delhi can be a convenient option because everyone can travel together comfortably.

Before planning your trip, check the local weather and road conditions, especially if you are visiting hill stations or high altitude destinations. It is also better to book transportation and hotels early because October can be busy due to festivals and holidays.

Overall, October is a good time to explore India, particularly if you want to combine comfortable weather with a group road trip.

If you are planning a group trip, choosing an Urbania on Rent in Delhi can be a smart and comfortable option. Force Urbania is designed for group travel and offers a good balance of power, comfort, and running cost.

The vehicle comes with a 2.6-litre diesel engine, which provides good power for city roads as well as highway journeys. Its strong torque helps the vehicle handle different road conditions smoothly, especially when travelling with several passengers and luggage. The good turning radius also makes it easier for the driver to manage narrow roads and busy city areas.

Another benefit of booking Urbania on Rent in Delhi is that the cost can be shared among all passengers. This can make group travel more affordable than booking several cars separately. It also keeps the whole group together during the journey.

Whether you are planning a family trip, corporate outing, wedding transportation, or a long-distance tour, Urbania can provide a comfortable travel experience. With proper planning and a reliable driver, it can be a practical choice for both short and long journeys.

FAQs

1. Is Urbania on Rent in Delhi suitable for group trips?
Yes, Urbania is a good option for families, friends, corporate groups, and other group travel needs.

2. Is Urbania powerful enough for highway trips?
Yes, its diesel engine provides good power and torque for highway and long-distance travel.

3. Why choose Urbania instead of multiple cars?
One Urbania can keep the group together and may reduce the overall travel cost.

4. Can I hire Urbania with a driver in Delhi?
Yes, Urbania rental services are commonly available with a professional driver.

Although I'm not a professional photographer, I am fortunate to be in the right place at the right moment. It is not the first time I have gone to Upper Mustang but every time my idea of the place's photography gets better and better.
I guess photography is also about capturing great moments and the correct angle, besides technical. My passion for photography drives me to constantly seek out interesting scenes and angles. Thankfully, I've found myself in the right place at the right time on numerous occasions, allowing me to take some memorable shots. Each trip presents countless opportunities to capture the beauty of the world around me.
Here are some shots from my last Upper Mustang Tour.

Lower Mustang is a remarkable region known for its stunning landscapes and cultural richness. It is home to the world's deepest gorge, the Kali Gandaki Gorge, wedged between the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. The area is also characterized by traditional Thakali settlements, who used to cater to traders. Now the region is famous as Apple paradise. Among its notable villages is Lubra, a quaint settlement that showcases the region's only Bon monastery and school. Additionally, Muktinath, a significant pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists, attracts many travelers seeking spiritual solace amidst the majestic backdrop of the Himalayas.

Upper Mustang is the last vestige of medieval Tibet. Nestled in the Himalayas, it is renowned for its 10,000 sky caves carved into sheer cliffs, each telling a story of ancient civilizations. The landscape is striking, featuring stark mountain ranges and vibrant valleys that change colors with the light. Visitors can explore the region's ancient monasteries, such as the iconic Thubchen Monastery, which showcases exquisite murals and spiritual artifacts. The region also has monasteries older than those in Tibet. The intact Tibetan culture is palpable, allowing travelers to experience traditions that have been preserved for centuries. My recent journey through Upper Mustang was truly unforgettable, and the stunning photographs I captured reflect the beauty and serenity of this remarkable region. Visit my blog 'Things to do in Upper Mustang Tour' for more information about the highlights of Mustang, known as the lost Tibetan Kingdom.

Hey everyone, I'm Ryan, hoping to get some advice from fellow travellers here. I have an early morning flight out of JFK next month, and I'm trying to figure out the smartest way to get there without the usual airport-run stress, traffic, rideshare surge pricing, or a driver cancelling last minute.

I've been looking into booking a Car Service to JFK Airport in advance instead of relying on a rideshare app on the day. From what I've read, pre-booking gives you a fixed price, a driver who tracks your flight in case it's delayed, and no waiting around for a car to accept your request during peak hours.

A few questions for anyone who's done this before:

  • Do you usually book directly with a local car service, or go through an app?
  • Is it worth paying extra for a larger vehicle if you're travelling with a lot of luggage?
  • Any tips on timing the pickup for early morning flights to avoid NYC traffic?
