The first step in planning a holiday to Canada is to confirm that you have the required travel documents to enter the country.

Everything you need to know about the Canada ETA and entering Canada as a tourist is available here.

Continue reading to discover how to apply for a Canada ETA online using a quick, simple, and entirely digital application form.

What is the Canada ETA?

The Canada Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is a travel document required by visa-exempt tourists to enter Canada.

The Canada ETA is valid for five years from the issue date. This means you must enter Canada during this timeframe. In addition, it is a Multiple Entry visa with a maximum stay of 180 days each entry.

Apply for your Canada ETA online here!

Who can apply for the Canada ETA?

You are eligible to apply for an eTA if you meet all 3 requirements:

  • you’ve held a Canadian visitor visa (temporary resident visa) in the past 10 years or currently hold a valid United States (US) nonimmigrant visa
+ Your US nonimmigrant visa must be valid on the day you apply for your eTA, but doesn’t need to be valid when you travel to Canada.

  • you’re coming to Canada for a temporary stay (normally for up to 6 months)
  • you’re flying to or transiting through a Canadian airport using a valid passport from one of the eligible visa-required countries
  • If you do not meet all of the requirements, you need a visitor visa (temporary resident visa) to travel to Canada.

Eligible visa-required countries
  • Antigua and Barbuda
  • Argentina
  • Brazil
  • Costa Rica
  • Mexico
  • Morocco
  • Panama
  • Philippines
  • St. Kitts and Nevis
  • St. Lucia
  • St. Vincent and the Grenadines
  • Seychelles
  • Thailand
  • Trinidad and Tobago
  • Uruguay
You need a visitor visa to come to Canada by car, bus, train or boat

Travellers with a passport from one of the eligible countries still need a valid visitor visa (temporary resident visa) if

  • driving to Canada from the U.S. by car or
  • arriving by bus, train or boat, including a cruise ship (even if they are not leaving the ship)

What am I allowed to do with the Canada ETA?

This travel document has many benefits. It allows you to:

  • Visit family and friends.
  • Do tourist activities.
  • Do business activities.
  • Do short studies or training

  • Fill out the form at your own pace: With the our platform, you can fill out the form at your own pace, make changes whenever you want, and save your progress, so you do not have to start from scratch, unlike the embassy website which cuts you off from their website every time you take a break.

  • Completed application form
  • Recent passport-sized photographs
  • Proof of funds (bank statements, employment letter)
  • Travel itinerary
  • Letter of invitation (if applicable)

With Canada immigration services, the online application process is quick and simple. You'll be finished in less than ten minutes if you just follow these three instructions!

  • Step 1: Provide your personal details on the visa application form. After finishing, you can choose how quickly you would like your visa to be issued. We can choose from three different speeds.
  • Step 2: Verify again that all of the data on the visa application form is accurate. We want your application to be free of any problems. Every detail must correspond with the accompanying documentation. You can use PayPal or a credit/debit card to pay the visa cost once you're certain everything is in order.
  • Step three: Upload all the supporting documents and submit your visa application form. Make sure that the scan is clear and has no smudges. That’s it!
Once you finish the application process, we will send your ETA to your email. Make sure you have both documents ready to display to the immigration officers once you arrive at the airport.

I’m planning a road trip to Lloydminster and was wondering what others usually do to make the trip more enjoyable rather than just driving to the destination.

I’m interested in finding worthwhile stops, local attractions, outdoor spaces, good places to eat, and anything else that can make the journey more memorable. I’d also be interested in tips for travelling with family or a larger group.

I recently came across this guide that shares some useful ideas for planning a more enjoyable Lloydminster road trip, including things to see, places to explore, and ways to make better use of your time:

What places or experiences would you personally recommend adding to a Lloydminster road trip?

Hi community!

I’m conducting research to better understand the challenges and preferences of travelers who combine business and leisure trips ("bleisure travel"). Whether you’re a seasoned business traveler, someone who’s extended a work trip for fun, or just passionate about travel, your insights would be invaluable.

I’ve put together a short (3–5 minute) survey for 4 weeks to explore:
• What’s most important to you when planning these types of trips.
• Pain points you’ve encountered during travel.
• How you currently manage your itineraries and budgets.

Your feedback will help identify trends and pain points faced by modern travelers.
Complete this short survey for a chance to win a £50 Amazon gift card!
;)
One lucky winner will be randomly selected and notified via email within two weeks after the survey closes.

Feel free to share any additional thoughts directly in this thread—what’s your biggest frustration or most desired feature when blending work and leisure travel?

Thank you so much for your time and insights! I really appreciate the wisdom of this amazing community.

Hey everyone! I recently launched a travel website and I’m looking for people to try to break it.

If you have a few minutes, visit the site and test everything you can:

Search for flights
Try it on mobile
️ Check it on desktop
Try different dates and destinations
Look for broken buttons, weird layouts, errors, or anything that doesn’t work as expected

Find a genuine bug and report it to me, and I’ll pay you for finding it.

I’d especially love feedback from people who travel frequently or regularly search for flights.

here the website link https://flightskynet.com/

Think you can find something we missed? Give it your best shot!

I’ve been reminiscing about my trip to Turkey lately, and I realized how perfectly these three spots complement each other. If you're planning a trip, here is a quick breakdown of what makes each location so special:

1. Istanbul: Where East Meets West

Istanbul is a city of layers—history, food, and culture are everywhere you look.
  • Hagia Sophia & Blue Mosque: You can’t miss these architectural wonders; the history inside those walls is palpable.
  • Bosphorus Cruise: Taking a ferry at sunset is the best way to see the city skyline and the bridges connecting Europe and Asia.
  • Galata Tower: Head here for a 360-degree view of the city—it’s the perfect spot for photography.

2. Cappadocia: The Land of Fairy Chimneys

This is probably the most Instagrammable place on earth, but it’s even better in person.
  • Hot Air Balloon Ride: It’s an early wake-up call, but seeing hundreds of balloons rise over the rock formations at dawn is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
  • Goreme Open Air Museum: Explore the ancient cave churches and frescoes carved directly into the rock.
  • Stay in a Cave Hotel: For a unique experience, I highly recommend booking a room in a traditional cave dwelling.

3. Fethiye: The Turquoise Coast

After all that walking and exploring, Fethiye is the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the Mediterranean.
  • Ölüdeniz & Blue Lagoon: The water here is incredibly clear. It’s also one of the best spots in the world for paragliding if you're an adrenaline junkie.
  • Butterfly Valley: Accessible only by boat or a very steep hike, this hidden beach is a serene escape from the crowds.
  • Saklikent Canyon: A great day trip where you can walk through the icy waters of one of the deepest canyons in the world.

If you need to book a flight on short notice, finding cheap flight tickets can feel almost impossible. Airlines use dynamic pricing algorithms that surge fares as departure dates approach. However, if you know how airfare bucket releases work, you can still find cheap flight deals and avoid paying full price.

Whether you are dealing with flights cancelled today or searching for last minute flight deals, here is the ultimate guide on how to find cheap flights at the last minute.

Airlines adjust unsold seat inventory 24 to 72 hours before departure. Instead of manually refreshing flight search engines, tracking automated deal alerts helps you catch sudden price drops the moment seat buckets open up.

  • Search for cheap flight tickets international during non-peak booking hours (late Tuesday nights and early Wednesday mornings).
  • Set up instant notifications for route-specific airfare drops.
Booking a round-trip ticket at the last minute often triggers high corporate fare rates. To bypass this penalty, mix and match two separate one-way tickets on low-cost carriers.

  • Compare individual legs to unlock the cheapest flight deals.
  • Look at alternative nearby hubs—flying into a regional airport 30 miles away can cut fare prices in half.
When online booking engines show inflated prices or full flights, calling direct booking or flight change desks can sometimes uncover unlisted seats or rebooking options—especially during major flight disruptions.

Looking for daily cheap flight hacks, airfare promotions, and instant assistance with flight rebookings or cancellations?

Join our growing community of budget travelers and frequent flyers:

Join our Facebook Group: Find Cheap Flights & Travel Hacks

Inside the group, members share:

  • Daily alerts on flights for cheap and international airfare discounts.
  • Advice on handling flights cancelled today and securing passenger refunds.
  • Route-specific advice to help you find the cheapest day to buy flights.
Drop your destination in the comments below, and our community will help you find the best active deal for your route!
