What’s the Best Way to Plan an Affordable Bali Holiday from Australia?

Hi everyone!

I’m planning a trip to Bali from Australia and would love some advice from people who have visited recently.
Which areas are best to stay in, and is it better to book a holiday package or arrange flights and accommodation separately? I’m also interested in finding reliable travel agencies that offer good value without compromising on the overall experience.

Would love to hear your recommendations, budget tips, and experiences!

Hey! To those of you coming from Australia to Bali, I'd recommend you choose your stay based on your holiday style: Ubud for rice terraces, temples, and chill vibes; Seminyak for restaurants, shopping, and parties; and Uluwatu for beaches and sunsets.

When booking: Look at the total cost of booking a package holiday against separate flights and hotels.. You might prefer the convenience of a package – they can sometimes work out cheaper – especially if they include flights, hotel and transfers. Booking separately gives you more flexibility, so have a look at both options.

Another option is EaseOnTrip, with Bali holiday packages from AUD 999 (varies depending on your dates and inclusions). This could be a one-stop shop to help you with booking your flights and accommodation in one go. Bali traffic can take up more time than you expect, so plan your sightseeing by area.
