Mysore really needs to be visited by every travel lover for no other city in the country houses such opulence. There are so many fascinating things that you can experience during your Mysore excursion like savouring the unbeatable taste of the Mysore Pak or shopping sandalwood articles and sandal soaps along with the most popular silk saris. As for the places to visit in Mysore there are a lot of them but if I had to name three absolute must-visits, those would be:

  1. The Mysore Palace- The grand residence of the Wodeyar Dynasty is one of the largest palaces in the country and certainly the most stunning to look at. Visit at night and you will be stunned by its sparkling splendour.
  2. The Chamundeshwari Hills- a very picturesque location that is home to the famous Chamundeshwari Temple.
  3. St. Philomena’s Church- One of the largest churches in the country and also one of the most gorgeous ones too.
