In the multimedia display Dynamic Earth, visitors travel through 500 million years of Earth history. With the aid of cutting-edge technology and top-notch special effects, its displays accurately recreate natural disasters like volcanoes, tropical rainstorms, and glaciers.

This fascinating scientific facility is housed in a cutting-edge tent-like structure and is best enjoyed by children. It is positioned close to Holyrood Park at the foot of Arthur's Seat. The excellent 360-degree Showdome, with its 3D movies and other conveniences, makes it as exciting as it is educational.
Pay a visit to the Mary King’s Closet
One of Edinburgh's newest sights, The Real Mary King's Close, offers a fascinating look inside one of the Royal Mile's earliest sections.

Under the storied Old Town neighborhood was Mary King's Close, which was partially destroyed in the 1700s to create room for the Royal Exchange. This network of narrow lanes, which is now underground, used to be a busy neighborhood full of tenement homes and has long been the setting for ghost tales and murders.
