London in April, worth it around Easter?

I’ve been thinking about London for a spring trip and April actually looks like a pretty nice window, especially around Easter.

From what I’ve seen, the city starts to feel alive again, parks getting greener, people out more, but not as packed as summer yet. Easter weekend itself seems quite active but still relaxed in a way.

There’s this open-air performance in Trafalgar Square on Good Friday called “The Passion of Jesus.” It’s free and right in the middle of the city, so even just passing by could be interesting.

Also looks like there are small things happening all over, like egg hunts, street performers, and random little events. Around Covent Garden especially, it seems like you can just walk around and bump into something fun without planning much.

I did read that transport can be a bit messy during the holiday weekend, so maybe worth keeping that in mind if moving around a lot.

And later in April there’s the London Marathon, which seems to turn the whole city into one big crowd cheering runners, could be fun to catch even by accident.

Overall it feels like a good mix of calm and things to do, not too intense, not too quiet.

If anyone’s been around that time, was it actually enjoyable or too busy?

By the way, I came across this page while looking around for a flight to London, leaving it here in case it helps someone.
