How to Post a Canada Trip Report​

Start a New Trip Report​

Create a new thread in the Canada Trip Reports forum and choose a clear, descriptive title that tells readers where you travelled.

For example:

• Toronto, Ottawa and Montréal by Train
• Driving the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia
• A Winter Adventure in Québec

You can publish your entire trip report in one post or add separate instalments as your journey progresses. Posting day-by-day updates can make a longer report easier to read and allows members to follow your adventure.

What to Include​

There is no required format, but useful information might include:

• The destinations and attractions you visited
• Your travel dates and the length of your trip
• Your itinerary or driving route
• Flights, trains, car hire or public transport
• Hotels, campsites or other accommodation
• Restaurants and memorable local food
• Activities, tours and day trips
• Approximate costs and budgeting advice
• Weather conditions and what you packed
• Things you would recommend—or avoid
• Lessons you learned along the way

Honest observations are especially valuable. Mention what exceeded your expectations, what did not go according to plan and what you might do differently on another visit.

Add Your Travel Photos​

Photos can bring your report to life, so feel free to include as many as you like. You might share landscapes, city views, wildlife, accommodation, meals, attractions or memorable moments from your journey.

Adding a short description beneath each photograph can help readers understand where it was taken and why the moment was important.

Please only upload photographs that you own or have permission to share.

Your report does not need to be professionally written. A friendly and genuine account of your experience can provide practical information that is difficult to find in a traditional travel guide.
