Disney's Animal Kingdom


Disney's Animal Kingdom is one of the four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, near the city of Orlando. The park is designed to celebrate the natural world and features attractions and shows that showcase animals from around the globe.​

Some of the popular attractions in the park include:
  • Kilimanjaro Safaris: a safari ride that takes visitors through a wildlife reserve and allows them to see animals such as elephants, giraffes, and lions in their natural habitats.
  • Expedition Everest: a roller coaster that takes visitors on a journey through the Himalayas and includes an encounter with the mythical Yeti.
  • It's Tough to be a Bug!: a 3D show that takes visitors on a journey through the lives of bugs and features special effects and live actors.
  • Avatar Flight of Passage: a thrilling 3D ride that simulates a banshee flight over Pandora, the world of Avatar
  • Festival of the Lion King: a live musical show that celebrates the music, dance, and culture of the Lion King film.
The park also features a Discovery Island, which is home to a variety of animal habitats, and a Tree of Life, a 145-foot-tall artificial tree that serves as the park's icon, featuring over 300 animals carved into the trunk and roots.
