Hey we can’t decide which cruise to go on for our honeymoon.
1. Holland America - from Ft. Lauderdale to Bermuda to Portland England to Paris then London and finishing in Rotterdam. 14 days - 7 straight days at sea.
2. Norwegian cruise line - from Tampa to Bahamas to two different islands in the adores to Madeira and finishing in Lisbon. 14 days - 6 straight days at see.
Anyone have any knowledge of any of these locations would greatly help. We wanted both down time and touristy time. Any advice, insights or help given would be much appreciated. Thx!

Me and my friends are taken the Tampa to Bagamas back in 2024, was really good 2 straight days, and then stayed there for few days before heading back. So as of now it depends on what you book like.

Both are good, but they feel very different. The Holland America route is more classic and city focused, while the Norwegian one leans warmer, more relaxed, and scenic. For a honeymoon, fewer cold sea days usually wins.

Both options sound amazing, so it really depends on what kind of honeymoon pace you want. The Holland route offers classic cities and more quiet sea days, while Norwegian gives you warmer islands and more port stops. If you enjoy relaxing together and scenic cruising, Holland fits well. If you prefer variety and beach time, Norwegian may suit you better.

Congrats! I’d lean toward Option 2. The route to Lisbon via the Azores and Madeira is much more scenic and romantic for a honeymoon. Option 1's stops in Paris and London actually require a lot of travel time from the ship. Stick with NCL for a better mix of relaxation and exploring!
