Las Vegas and its surrounding areas offer some fantastic hiking opportunities, especially in the spring when the weather is mild and the landscapes are lush. Here are some of the best places for hiking in Las Vegas during spring:
  1. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area: Just a short drive from Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon offers a variety of trails for hikers of all levels. Calico Tanks Trail and Ice Box Canyon Trail are particularly popular in the spring, offering beautiful desert scenery and occasional water features.
  2. Valley of Fire State Park: Known for its stunning red sandstone formations, Valley of Fire is a great destination for spring hiking. The Fire Wave Trail and White Domes Loop are excellent choices, providing unique geological features and beautiful desert flora.
  3. Mount Charleston: As spring temperatures rise in the valley, Mount Charleston offers a cool retreat. Trails like Mary Jane Falls and Cathedral Rock provide a mix of alpine scenery and desert landscapes. Keep in mind that higher elevations might still have some snow in early spring.
