We have a small group planning on traveling to Peru. Looking at the packages it doesn't appear that we can do everything that we want. We want to spend about a week in Lima and a week in Cusco. There will be between 2 and 6 of us. I speak very little spanish but will buy one of those pocket translators that does not need wifi. I am trying to keep the cost low to enable more people to go. We wish to:

Spend a day in Lima at the plaza and nearby attractions
Hike to laguna 69. I know a bus goes there and its about 8 hours
another day in Lima to visit the art museum of gold, art museum and park of love
maybe another day in Lima
Spend a day in Cusco at the plaza and nearby attractions
take the 2-3 day hike to machu picchu by the hydro electric dam
check out the saqsaywaman
Go to the rainbow mountains
maybe another day in Cusco

I plan on going in April or May
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Can I find local guides?
Someone told me making hotel reservations cost twice as much. Are reservations necessary?
Does anyone know the 2-3 route to hike to Machu Picchu?
I believe I can get a guide at Machu Picchu. Or should I get one for the 2-3 day hike?

Is this too ambitious? Should we forget about our ideal trip and settler for a package?
I don't mind doing the work to plan it.

If you want to explore Shimla beyond Mall Road, there are plenty of quieter and more scenic experiences to enjoy. Kufri is a great choice for mountain views, short walks and outdoor activities. You can also visit Jakhoo Temple for panoramic views of Shimla and the surrounding hills.

For a peaceful experience, head towards Mashobra or Naldehra, where you can enjoy pine forests, fresh air and beautiful landscapes away from the busy town centre. Chail is another excellent option for a relaxed day trip, especially if you enjoy nature and forest roads.

If you are planning a longer Himachal holiday, a manali tour from delhi can also be combined with Shimla to explore more mountain destinations in one trip.

I’m Marcin. My particular interest is helicopter sightseeing and scenic flights, especially the practical details that help travellers compare experiences. For transparency, I run Sightflying (https://sightflying.com), a comparison and information website.

I’d be glad to hear your thoughts and learn from other members’ experiences. If you’ve taken a scenic flight, what do you wish you’d known before booking? Any promotional idea worth mentioning?
Thanks for welcoming me.

Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking at Maldives resorts and came across Siyam World Maldives. It looks like a great option for families, couples and anyone wanting an all-inclusive island experience.

Has anyone stayed there recently?

I’d especially like to know:

  • How was the food and all-inclusive package?
  • Are the villas and water villas as good as they look?
  • Is the resort suitable for families and couples?
  • How are the activities, beaches and snorkelling?
  • Would you recommend it compared with other Maldives resorts?
I found more details about the resort and package here:
https://genztravel.co.uk/trip/siyam-world-maldives/

Would love to hear some real experiences before deciding.

For first-time visitors, simple and well-organized tours are always the best choice. Popular india travel packages usually cover places like Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Kerala, or Himachal, depending on your interests. I would recommend starting with North India because it’s easier to travel and full of iconic sites like the Taj Mahal. Group or guided packages also help a lot if you’re not familiar with local transport. In my opinion, comfort and proper planning matter more than covering too many places in one trip.

I’m curious to know what attracts people most when they think about travelling around India.

Would you go mainly for the history and culture, the food, the mountains and landscapes, or the wildlife and tiger safaris?

There are so many very different experiences in one country, from the Taj Mahal and Rajasthan to Kerala, the Himalayas, and national parks in Central India.

If you’ve travelled to India before, which place would you recommend for a first-time visitor? And if you haven’t been yet, what would you most like to experience?

Would India be on your list for your next trip?

I’m visiting Bali in a few days, and it’s my first time. So I’m trying to figure out what’s actually worth spending money on.

There are so many tours, activities, beach clubs, day trips, etc., that I’m a bit confused, and I don’t want to end up paying for things that are just hyped up on social media. Secondly, I seriously believe in quality over quantity, so rather than fitting into everything, I would prefer to visit fewer places, but they have to be memorable.

For those who’ve been to Bali, what did you genuinely think was worth the money? And was there anything you’d say I should skip?

Would love to hear what you guys actually enjoyed and would do again.

I know there are plenty of hotels around Disney World, but I’m having trouble deciding which area makes the most sense for an off-property stay. Flamingo Crossings, the Western Entrance, Kissimmee, and other nearby areas all seem to have different advantages. My priorities are a reasonable hotel price, easy access to Disney parks, free or affordable parking, breakfast, and reliable transportation. I’m not too concerned about having a Disney-themed hotel because we’ll spend most of our time at the parks. For people who regularly visit Disney, which off-property area would you recommend for convenience and overall value?
