Kibale National Park, located in western Uganda near the town of Fort Portal, covers approximately 776 km² of lush tropical rainforest and is famous for its primate diversity. Often called the “Primate Capital of the World”, the park is home to about 13 species of primates, including chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. Visitors can enjoy chimpanzee trekking, guided forest walks, bird watching with over 375 species, and nature photography. Kibale also offers cultural experiences with local communities and the chance to explore scenic landscapes, crater lakes, and trails.
