Hey everyone,
I recently finished applying for my Australian Visitor Visa (subclass 600) and wanted to share my real experience — especially for anyone planning a trip to Australia soon.
When I first started researching online, I found tons of general info but very few posts that talked about what actually matters for a successful visa result.

1️⃣ Be Clear About Your Travel Purpose

The first thing immigration officers look at is why you’re visiting Australia.
If your reason sounds vague or copied from the internet, it might raise red flags.
Here’s what I wrote:
  • Purpose: short vacation & visiting a friend in Sydney
  • Duration: 10 days
  • Detailed itinerary (Sydney – Blue Mountains – Melbourne)
  • Round-trip flight tickets + hotel bookings confirmed
Keep it short and honest. Show that you have a clear plan and intend to return home after your trip.

2️⃣ Financial Proof & Ties to Your Home Country

Many applications get delayed or refused because financial documents aren’t consistent.
It’s not just about having a balance — they check your income flow, job stability, and reason to return.

Here’s what I included:
  • 6-month bank statements
  • Employment contract + recent payslips
  • Property ownership documents
  • Flight and hotel bookings
The result: visa approved in 8 working days without any extra document requests.

3️⃣ Submitting Documents Online

I submitted everything through ImmiAccount, which was super convenient.
Just make sure:
  • All files are in PDF format
  • Scans are clear and easy to read
  • File names are short and specific (e.g. Passport.pdf, BankStatement.pdf)
  • Check your email daily after submission — they sometimes request extra documents.

4️⃣ Processing Time (Real Case)

  • My case: 8 working days
  • My friend’s case: 3 weeks (they asked for extra financial proof)
So it really depends on your situation, but overall, the Australian visitor visa is quite fast if your application is consistent and genuine.

5️⃣ Key Tips from My Experience

  • You don’t need an agent if your profile is simple — just follow the official guide carefully.
  • If you’re self-employed, include your business license and tax documents.
  • Write a clear Statement of Purpose (SOP) focusing on your travel goal, itinerary, and ties to Vietnam.
  • Don’t submit fake or irrelevant documents — they verify more than you think.

✅ My Visa 600 Checklist

  • Passport (valid for at least 6 months)
  • Photo (recent, passport size)
  • Form 1419 (Application for Visitor Visa)
  • Statement of Purpose (travel reason)
  • 6-month bank statement
  • Employment contract / business license
  • Property documents (if any)
  • Flight & hotel booking confirmations
I also found this guide really useful when preparing my documents:

It includes detailed checklists, sample letters, and helpful notes that made my process much easier.
Hope this post helps someone out there who’s preparing for their trip Down Under ✈️
