I see this question a lot on Sapa forums: "Is Cat Cat Village worth it, or is it just a tourist trap?" After several visits, I can say the answer is: it depends on what you’re looking for. Here is the breakdown of what you get for your 150,000 VND ticket.
The Logistics: The village is 3km from Sapa town. The walk down is easy, but the walk back up is steep. Motorbike taxis back to town cost about 50-60k VND. The 150k entrance fee covers the whole circuit, including the waterfall and the cultural show. Ticket info here.
