I’m planning my first trip to Switzerland and I’m a little confused about where to stay. There are so many beautiful places that choosing the right hotel base seems harder than choosing the attractions!

For a first-time visitor, would you recommend staying in Zurich, Lucerne, Interlaken, or another city?

I’m mainly looking for a hotel that is:

• Convenient for trains and sightseeing
• Easy to reach after arriving at Zurich Airport
• Close to restaurants and shops
• Suitable for taking day trips to popular destinations
• Comfortable without being unnecessarily expensive

I’m also wondering about transportation after landing. Is booking a Zurich Airport Transfer a good option for reaching your hotel, especially if you have luggage or arrive late, or is the train usually more convenient?
