Has anyone here tried holding a USA to India flight ticket without paying? I’ve been comparing different airlines and noticed that some offer a flight hold option, while others don’t mention it clearly. I’m trying to figure out whether it’s actually possible to reserve a fare for a few hours or a day before completing payment.
From what I’ve seen, a few airlines allow a flight fare hold for 24 hours, but the rules seem different depending on whether you’re booking directly or through travel sites. I’m mainly looking for a way to lock in a good fare without committing right away, especially since prices for long-haul USA–India flights keep jumping.
Has anyone used the ticket hold feature recently? How long did the airline let you keep the reservation? And was it really free, or did they charge a small hold fee?
