Visiting NYC for Fashion Week? Transportation tips you’ll thank yourself for.

Every year during Fashion Week, the biggest complaint I hear is how tough it is to get around—especially if you're bouncing between events in SoHo, Chelsea, or Midtown.

Here’s what I’ve learned after helping a few people plan NYFW trips:

Avoid relying solely on Uber/Lyft around show venues — surge pricing + delays = frustration

Book private transport early if you're on a schedule (black cars or exec services are best)

If you're landing at JFK or LaGuardia, having someone track your flight helps a ton

Even public transit gets overwhelmed during NYFW, so if your schedule’s tight, plan ahead.

Not trying to promo anything, just sharing what’s worked for others. Hope it helps some of you navigating the madness

I usually travel from Boston to NYC for Fashion Week, and timing can be tricky with all the shows packed into a few days. I’ve found that a mix of subway and short rides works best once I’m in the city — saves a ton of time!
