Travelers to India must submit a self-declaration form and upload their negative Covid-19 RT PCR test result or accepted vaccination certificate in the Air Suvidha Portal before the scheduled travel. Additionally, travelers should be fully vaccinated as per the approved primary schedule of vaccination against COVID-19 in their country. Exercise increased caution due to crime and terrorism, and do not travel to Jammu and Kashmir (except the eastern Ladakh region and its capital, Leh) or within 10 km of the India-Pakistan border. Also RT-PCR Report is Mandatory for Unvaccinated Travelers Visiting Leh and Andaman.

Anyone who meets the necessary visa and entry requirements can travel to India, including tourists, business travelers, students, and individuals visiting for medical reasons. Since 2022, India has eased many of its pandemic-related travel restrictions, making it easier for international visitors to enter the country.

Here are the main categories of travelers who can visit India:

  1. Tourists: After reopening to tourists post-2022, India now issues e-visas to citizens of various countries, allowing them to explore popular destinations like Goa, where many travelers enjoy attractions like Deltin hotels.
  2. Business Travelers: India remains a key destination for international business. Post-2022, business visas are regularly issued, allowing professionals to visit for trade shows, conferences, and business dealings.
  3. Medical Travelers: India is a popular hub for medical tourism, and people from different countries can visit for treatments and surgeries under a medical visa.
  4. Family Visits: Individuals with family in India or those visiting for special events, such as weddings or ceremonies, can apply for a visitor visa.
  5. Students: Many international students continue to travel to India for education at universities and technical institutes. Educational visas are granted with required documentation.
Make sure to check India's latest entry requirements, which may include vaccination certificates, depending on the traveler's country of origin.
