After the significant expansion project is finished, New Delhi Airport will have a completely new appearance and a fourth runway. GMR took on the remodeling project. Additionally, the administration intends to expand T3's amenities and construct a special "dual elevated cross taxiway" that will link the northern and southern airfields. The ability to handle passengers could eventually rise as a result.

Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport( IGIA) is now the first and the only field in India to run entire operations on solar and hydropower. This step is in line with the field’s charge to be the Net Zero Carbon Emission Airport by 2030. With this rearmost move, the field will reduce CO2 emigrations by 2 lakh tons every time.

Delhi Airport started exercising hydro energy on 1st June 2022. IGIA also meets nearly 6 of its electricity demand via on-point solar power installations, which are on the weight terminal roofs and the airside. Delhi International Airport Limited( DIAL) is a GMR- led installation. The company has inked an agreement with a hydropower producing company in Himachal Pradesh.
