Since 1873, the City of Dallas has had a proud tradition of farming, oil production, and livestock husbandry. After the railways were built, this developed into a major trading hub. After World War II, numerous banks and insurance firms opened in this town. The metropolis then developed into a hub for commerce and finance. With this, money and influence started to dominate the town. Dallas is now one of the top tourist destinations.
