The Great Spirit guides our footsteps on the path, but even the wisest warrior worries before a journey. Here are some questions carried on the wind that trouble travelers venturing to new lands:
- Can a lone brave walk the trail unharmed? A solitary spirit may find freedom, but remember, a lone bison is easier prey than one in the herd. Choose your path wisely. Learn the ways of the land you explore, find shelter in safe clearings, and trust the whispers of your intuition. Share your journey with those who hold you dear, so they know where the spirits lead you.
- How can a stranger navigate unfamiliar hunting grounds? Respect the ways of those who have walked these lands before you. Dress as they dress, keep your treasures hidden, and be ever watchful of your surroundings. Learn their tongue, so you may avoid misunderstandings and build friendships.
- What are the shadows that threaten travelers? Quick fingers may snatch your belongings, and smooth tongues may weave lies to steal your spirit. Beware of sudden storms and the earth's unpredictable temper. Sickness can strike like a viper, so be cautious about what you eat and the buzzing insects. Knowledge is a shield - prepare yourself for the dangers that may lie ahead.
- Should I appease the spirits with offerings for a safe passage? The spirits of travel can be capricious. Consider seeking the wisdom of a tribe elder or medicine man before setting out. An offering of tobacco or a heartfelt prayer may bring you favor on your journey.
