Aurangabad is an ancient beauty that has been holding on to a lot of interesting facts that one gets to know in a guided Aurangabad tour. Everyone knows that the city houses the famous Ajanta and Ellora Caves which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites but there are also a lot of fascinating things to do in Aurangabad than just visiting these caves. The city is named after Aurangzeb who commissioned the construction of Bibi Ka Makbara as a token of love for his wife and to rival his father, Shah Jahan’s masterpiece- Taj Mahal. Although he couldn’t make it so grand but it is still the biggest structure constructed by Aurangzeb and therefore a good monument to explore in Aurangabad. You can also try the paan of Aurangabad which is quite popular and ranges from a mere 15 bucks to a whooping 5000 rupees. You must also pay a visit to the Aurangabad Caves whose charm may have been overshadowed by Ajanta and Ellora Caves but are magnificent, nonetheless.
