The best way to travel around Scandinavia

Hi all!

I love Scandinavia and would like to visit it! However, I'm not sure how it is the best to travel around - is public transport sufficient and it's possible to make an independent travel or it is better to use a travel agency? I've read about several of them, this seems to offer a pretty nice tours around Scandinavia - what do you think about it? It is worth taking or it is better to make my own itinerary?
