I’ve been researching IVF treatment options abroad due to the high costs in the US, and I wanted to share some of what I found in case it's helpful for others in the same situation.
India is coming up a lot as a recommended destination for medical tourists from USA to India for IVF treatment. The success rates at top clinics are comparable to (or sometimes even better than) many Western hospitals, and the total cost is significantly lower. For example, one IVF cycle in the US can cost $15,000–$20,000, but in India, it’s often between $3,000 and $6,000—even at top-tier, accredited clinics.
Many of the well-known fertility centers are in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai, and they’re equipped with the latest tech and experienced specialists. A lot of them offer video consultations beforehand, which is great for planning.
Something else I found useful: some travel coordinators and agencies offer medical tourism flight booking, which means they help align your travel with your treatment schedule, and even assist with visas, local transport, and hotel stays.
Of course, you still have to do your own due diligence—check clinic credentials, ask about patient support, and make sure everything is transparent. But from what I’ve gathered so far, if you're comfortable with traveling, IVF in India is a strong option worth considering.
