forum4travel Update: Progressive Web App Now Available!​

Great news for our community — the forum4travel platform has been upgraded and now fully supports Progressive Web App (PWA) technology.

What is a PWA?​

A Progressive Web App gives you the convenience of a downloadable mobile app while still using your browser. With the forum4travel PWA, you’ll enjoy:

• Offline access
• Faster performance
• Background processing via service workers
• Support for push notifications
• A dedicated icon on your device’s home screen

How to Install the forum4travel PWA​

On Chrome or Android:
Simply tap the “+” icon in the address bar when browsing forum4travel. Follow the prompt and the app will install instantly.


On Apple devices:
PWAs are now supported on iOS! Just tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen and select “Add to Home Screen” to install the forum4travel app.

Apple PWA support now available at forum4travel.com

In Safari, tap the share icon at the bottom of the screen.

In the menu tap “Add to Home Screen”. This installs the site as an app on your Home Screen.

Log in, go to Account > Preferences and enable.
