Hi all,

I have started to research/organise a 6 month travel around South America (Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Patagonia) but am stuck on the order of visiting each country considering weather and high/low season etc for each month.

I hope to go around April/May and finish October.

If anyone who has done a round trip in South America can give me a few tips and advice please for the itinerary. I am also open to suggestions.

Thank you

Sounds like an epic trip! Starting in Colombia in April or May is great since the weather is usually nice, especially in the coffee region and Medellín. Then, I'd suggest heading to Bolivia next—like La Paz and the salt flats—before it gets too chilly in the higher elevations. After Bolivia, Peru is a must, especially Machu Picchu, which is best visited in the dry season (May to September). For Brazil, October is ideal for places like Rio, as it's warm and lively. As for Patagonia, you might want to save that for the end since the weather can be unpredictable, but it's stunning! Just keep an eye on local weather patterns as you go.
