Culinary Delights at Michelin-Starred Restaurants

For the past four years, all I've done is hop from one country to another. Seen some amazing places, eaten some crazy stuff too – kangaroo burgers in Australia, bugs in Thailand (don't even ask!). But San Francisco? That city's a whole different level when it comes to food.

Seriously, it's like a Michelin star buffet! I heard about this place called Atelier Crenn, run by this super-famous chef, Dominique Crenn. Apparently, she's the first woman in the whole US to snag three of those stars – that's gotta be insane! They do this fancy tasting menu that changes all the time, using fresh local stuff. Imagine, like, tiny portions of California sunshine on a plate!

For something a little more Asian-inspired, there's Benu. This chef, Corey Lee, takes Korean flavors and mixes them up with French cooking. Sounds kinda weird, right? But trust me, it's gotta be good if it's got a Michelin star. Like, picture kimchi fried rice made by a French wizard or something.

Then there's Quince. This one's all about California lovin'. Chef Michael Tusk takes everything that's fresh and awesome in the state and turns it into these beautiful dishes. Think farm-to-table on steroids!

These are just a couple of the Michelin-starred gems San Francisco has hidden up its sleeve. With all the different types of food they got there, it's like a food adventure waiting to happen. So yeah, if you're a fellow food-obsessed traveller, San Francisco should be your next stop .

I see it's been a while since you've posted, but I just want to ask—has anyone tried any Michelin-starred spots with a more relaxed vibe lately? Some of the higher-end places I’ve been to felt a bit too formal, and I’m looking for something top-tier but still comfortable. Would love to hear some newer suggestions or hidden gems people have stumbled across.

I booked a counter seat through tenkoomakasebangkok.com and it was the easiest way to get in without hassle. Got to watch every dish being made up close, and the chef even chatted a bit. The site showed all the available time slots clearly, which helped me plan around other stuff I wanted to do in Bangkok.
