If you follow the wine trails of India, you will almost certainly end up in Nashik. Nashik's wineries and vineyards are not only among the country's oldest but also among the best. Nashik is India's largest wine region, with over 30 wineries producing some of the country's best wines. Nashik, often known as the "Wine Capital of India," is the country's very own Napa Valley.
The majority of wineries and vineyards in Nashik are concentrated in the Sanjegaon, Dindori, and Gangapur Dam areas. Many of these establishments include wine-tasting rooms, and a few (such as Sula Vineyards and Chateau d'Or Vineyard) also arrange for guests to stay in the vineyard's gorgeous location.
