14 DAY MOROCCAN TOUR OVERVIEW​

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Upon arrival at Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport, immerse yourself in the city’s rich cultural tapestry. Begin your moroccan tour with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, a breathtaking architectural masterpiece perched on the Atlantic Ocean. Marvel at its intricate details and the grandeur of one of the world’s largest mosques.
Next, head to La Corniche, Casablanca’s lively waterfront district. Take in the refreshing sea breeze as you explore the promenade and indulge in a delicious seafood meal at one of the many seaside restaurants. After the visit of the city, relaxing night at your hotel in Casablanca.

Day 2: Casablanca → Rabat

Start your day early with a refreshing breakfast in Casablanca before heading to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Your first stop is the Kasbah of the Udayas, a stunning fortress overlooking the Bou Regreg River. Next, head to the iconic Hassan Tower, an unfinished minaret of what was once intended to be the world’s largest mosque. The site’s grandeur, with its towering red sandstone minaret and rows of standing columns, offers a fascinating glimpse into Morocco’s history. Nearby, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V stands as a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture, where the tombs of King Mohammed V and his sons, including King Hassan II, are housed. The intricate tilework and grand white marble structure reflect the nation’s deep respect for its monarchy. Visit the palace and head to hotel to relax.

Day 3: Rabat → Chefchaouen (The Blue City)

Depart from Rabat at 9am and drive via A1 highway, then switch to N13 towards Ouezzane. Explore Ouezzane, a charming town with religious and historical significance. Walk through the old medina and enjoy a traditional Moroccan tea. Lunch in Ouezzane and Continue driving to Chefchaouen. Spend the afternoon in Chefchaouen enjoy the fresh mountain air and Night in a beautiful riad.

Day 4: Chefchaouen → Fes

Depart from Chefchaouen. Take your breakfast and drive through the rif mountains to Volubilis. Arrive at Volubilis, the stunning Roman ruins (UNESCO World Heritage site). Explore the ruins, including the Basilica, Capitoline Temple, and well-preserved mosaics. A guided tour. After Arrive in Meknes, the former imperial city, lunch and visit Bab Mansour, one of Morocco’s most beautiful gates. Heri es-Souani, an impressive granary and stable and depart for Fes. Night in a charming riad.

Day 5: Exploring Fes

Today you will meet your local city guide and enjoy a day tour of the medina and surrounding area. Marvel at the carved brass gates at the Royal Palace, walk through the Jewish quarter, meander through the narrow busy streets of the medina stopping for demonstrations of weavers, carpet knotting, brass hammering and tile and pottery making. Visit the famous tanneries, a UNESCO site and famous for its natural dying methods dating back centuries. You will stop for lunch along the way and return to your riad dazzled by the sights and sounds.

Day 6: Fes → Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

Drive over the Middle Atlas mountains through the cedar forests and rolling hills. See Macaque monkeys and Berber horses and stop in at the small European hamlet of Ifrane, known at the “Switzerland of Morocco”.
Then head south to Midelt, and on to the stunning Ziz Valley where you will see valleys and oasis filled with date palms as far as the eye can see. Berber villages and casbahs will take over the view as you head through Rissini and into Merzouga. Take your camels into the dunes and Spend the night in a luxury desert camp with your dinner and breakfast.

Day 7: Sahara Desert

Rise early in the morning to watch the sunrise illuminating the desert, after mint tea and breakfast, leave the camp and return to Merzouga on the saddle of your camel to the hotel where you will have a relaxing morning and time to take shower and have lunch. We drive off road around back of the dunes to explore more, learn about the fossils and visit the coal mine. Ending the day watching the sunset at the other side of the dunes. Dinner and night in the hotel.

Day 8: Sahara → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley

After making your way back to the car, you will ride through Erfoud (date capital of Morocco) and along the Valley of 1,000 Kasbahs (old and new) and drive towards Todgha Gorge.
Spend some time exploring the gorge basin and marveling at the rock face (350m high). Then drive to dades and Stay in the nearby valley at a riad and enjoy the traditional Berber lifestyle of the south.

Day 9 : Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait ben haddou → Marrakech

After breakfast, drive along the Valley of the Roses to Kalaa Mgouna where you might choose to visit one of the Rose water cooperatives and learn how the locals prepare rose scented perfumes based on distilled rose water. We continue to Ouarzazate past Skoura oasis famous for its date palm trees, then to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou where you will have lunch before a visit of the Kasbah, a UNESCO world heritage site, that has been used as a set for various Hollywood movies, fashion and commercial shooting.
The Kasbah is well preserved and consisted of various Kasbahs packed together and appears as a single unit. In the afternoon, we begin our descent through the Atlas Mountains, Tizi Ntichka Pass passing by various Berber villages with houses built with stones and mud. We arrive Marrakech late afternoon. Day 10: Exploring Marrakech

Your guide will meet you at the Riad for a full day tour of Marrakech including the Koutoubia Mosque grounds, the Bahia Palace, Saadian tombs, Majorelle gardens and the Mellah or old Jewish quarter.
After lunch visit the souks and do some shopping the souks for souvenirs and try your hand at haggling. Sunset at the main square.

Day 11: Marrakech → Essaouira

Set forth from Marrakech post-breakfast, immersing yourself in a scenic drive through the Moroccan countryside. Traverse picturesque landscapes, meandering through wild argan tree groves and villages, with glimpses of camels and goats peacefully grazing. Witness the fascinating sight of tree-climbing goats feasting on argan fruits. Pause at a local co-op where Berber women craft argan oil for culinary and cosmetic use.
Upon arrival in Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador, savor lunch at an authentic restaurant offering freshly caught seafood with panoramic views of the sea. Explore the city at your own pace, capturing the essence of the Medina, photographing candy-colored fishing boats, and meandering through an ancient Portuguese fortress.

Day 12: Essaouira Excursion

Essaouira, a coastal gem, entices with its salty air and the echoing cries of seagulls. A city with a captivating blend of architectural styles from various civilizations, it’s renowned for its appearance in Game of Thrones as the port city of Astapor. Spend the day delving deeper into the Medina’s charm, discovering art galleries, and wandering through stalls offering an array of souvenirs. Stroll along the fishing port, explore food stalls, Portuguese fortifications, and take a leisurely walk along Essaouira beach.
For those seeking a unique experience, consider a visit to a renowned winery for a tasting session featuring reds, whites, and roses crafted from grapes grown in expansive vineyards. Conclude the day with dinner at the riad or explore local dining options.

Day 13: Essaouira → Casablanca via El jadida

Breakfast and departure to Casablanca via El Jadida, with lunch at El Oualidia (where you can enjoy fish specialties). Continue to El Jadida along the Atlantic coast. Arrive in Casablanca, where we will spend the last night of your trip.

Day 14: Casablanca Airport Transfer

Today, you will say goodbye to Morocco. Your driver will pick you and take you to the airport 3 hours prior to your departure flight time. Along with your luggage, you will bring home lasting memories and adventures of Moroccan history and culture.
