Y Ty is located at a height of over 2,000m, lying on the mountain of Nhuu San San which peak to 2.660m, almost covered by cloud all year round. The sun is probably less than a day to shine for 12 hours. The road to Y Ty is a zigzag trail of narrowed paths and then hidden under the forest leaves and the houses looming in the clouds. It is true that when you come to Y Ty, many feel like you are entering another world, separated from the earth. The road to Y Ty now has been upgraded, no longer the scene of muddy roads as a few years ago. As well as the beautiful places in the highlands.

When to go

There are 3 periods of good time to visit Y Ty: the ripe rice season from the 3rd week of August until the middle of September, the cloud hunting season from September to April every year and the flood season. In the years of cold weather, Y Ty is also a possible snowfall with Sa Pa and Mau Son.

Transportation

From Hanoi you can buy a train ticket to Lao Cai or take a passenger bus to Lao Cai (or Sa Pa). From Lao Cai (Sa Pa) to move to the Rat must use motor vehicles. You can choose to take a motorcycle from Hanoi or rent a motorbike in Sa Pa. The road to the present day is quite beautiful and convenient when it is dry, if it rains, the section of the cat is quite difficult to go.

Thien Sinh Bridge

The bridge is located at the end of Lao Chai village, about 10 km from the center of Y Ty commune. According to the language of Ha Nhi ethnic group, the bridge is named Thien San Shu, meaning "heaven born".

The bridge is only about 1m short, the former is a natural rock through the deep hole of the Lung Po stream roaring all day and night. From the hundreds, thousands of years ago, through the geological tectonic movement, the giant rock mass has been cracked to form a rock crevice.

This is also the border between Vietnam and China. Over time, the rock over the deep slits gradually wear down, the people here must be over the bar to build bridges and concrete as it is now. Standing on the bridge looking down, nervous people firmly have a feeling of dizziness, because under the rock is deep Lung Po streams roaring waves of water rushed into the whirlpool.

The layers of large and small rocks are water carving glossy into many shapes and named this stream is Lung Po, meaning Father Dragon, sacred dragon on the upstream of "Bat Xat waterfall".

The Hong Ngại Village mentioned by To Hoai is in Bac Yen district, Son La province. Although it is the remote village of Y Ty, but the life here is also relatively good because of cardamom, a high value agricultural products.
